With 30 years’ experience spanning property, business, financial planning and investment advice, Bernice brings deep expertise to her role as Co-Founder and General Manager – Property Investment at Mercer & Cooper.
Bernice leads the group’s property investment division, with responsibility for its investment team, advice model, strategy and client experience. Her focus is on ensuring clients receive clear, practical advice that helps them build long-term wealth through property.
She began her career in property marketing, working with architects and developers on prestige residential projects, land subdivisions and multi-stage developments. A move into property development gave her a deeper understanding of what drives property performance and what makes a sound investment.
In 2006, Bernice co-founded a financial planning business with Matt Mercer, where she developed its property investment advice model and managed a team of advisers and contract managers. After its sale, the pair co-founded Mercer & Cooper in 2016.
Bernice also coaches the group’s advisers and continually refines its processes to make property investment easier for clients to understand. Her approach has always been to simplify what others make complicated.
